Penjings

The literal interpretation of the word Penjing means “miniature landscape”. The Penjing is unique to Ambius and is a recreation of an actual landscape in a shallow bowl using plants, stones and wood.

Penjings have a distinctly oriental flavour, having derived from an ancient Chinese craft which predates the Japanese art of bonsai.

In the tradition of oriental art, Penjings provide a focal point on which to focus the mind, and thus help relieve stress and promote tranquility.
