Ambius has just introduced a new theme: Diversity, to the available range of art on canvas.
Ambius offers out of the ordinary rental art, featuring exclusive photographic images to suit a variety of decorative styles. Art is printed onto canvas, and is inspired by indigenous plants, foliage, flowers, and the South African coastline and countryside. Art on canvas is available in a wide range of colours to energise or soothe, relax or invigorate, brighten dull spaces or bring calm to busy locations.
“Diversity” adds a new theme to the range, and includes images of well known botanical favourites such as protea, spekboom, monstera and fiddleleaf.
Art on Canvas specifications
The 70cm x 70 cm square canvases are made from polyester: a by-product of oil refining, and are machine washable. They will not shrink or crease, and are also unaffected by humidity, mildew or fungus.
Using the latest dye sublimation technology, only water-based inks are used. In addition, no toxins, pollutants or solvents are released into the atmosphere during printing. As the ink bonds with the canvas fibre, the print cannot be scratched off.
Zero-carbon processing
Framing is also zero carbon process, as the frame is made of polystyrene with 80% recycled compound. The frame is water, warp and UV proof and will not bend due to moisture.
Ambius art on canvas is offered on a rental basis to allow clients the flexibility to regularly change their images.
The benefits of adding art to your walls
A pre/post study on the impact of adding visual art on waiting behavior in two busy hospital ER’s in Houston, Texas, was conducted from September 2009 to March 2010.
Observational data revealed significant reduction in restless behavior and an increase in socialization once art was added.
Trends varied slightly across the two sites, but a significant reduction in noise levels was found at both sites. This study suggests that including visual art can not only impact patient (and visitor) behavior, but also the overall healthcare experience.
Acoustic inserts are also available
For those extremely high-traffic or noisy environments, Ambius also offers acoustic inserts, to reduce and deaden noise levels. Acoustic inserts are ideal for environments such as call-centres, or interiors which where have lots of hard surfaces (which cause noise to reverberate).
